The door has two racks with narrow sides that are perfect for juice and butter cartons. The refrigerator uses thermoelectric exchange technology instead of compressor cooling. This makes it quieter than usual refrigerators, with only an occasional hum while operating.
The capacity of the refrigerator is 295 litres. The fridge compartment holds 209 litres while the storage freezer on the bottom provides 89 cubic litres. The refrigerator is not frost free and will require manual defrosting on occasion to ensure it is operating at its maximum. We tested the fridge's energy efficiency, and it scored an A+ rating. This is the lowest energy efficiency that we've tested for and is a decent outcome for a fridge at this price. The 42dB noise score was good. It's a little louder than the less expensive models we tested, but much quieter than older refrigerators which made a lot of noise.

Although it is a compressor-type model the Swan is quite quiet for its size. We tested it at a modest 42dB while it was running. It is considerably quieter than models made a decade ago and much quieter than the majority of fridge freezers we have on our Best Buy chart.
This fridge also had good temperature stability. The top shelves, middle and bottom all offered an average temperature that was within two degrees either way of the maximum figure. The salad drawer was more erratic, fluctuating between 5oC and just below freezing.
The fridge also requires manual defrosting from time to time, however it is classified as A+ in energy efficiency. This makes it one of the most efficient fridge freezers in our Best Buy chart, keeping your energy bills low.
This is an excellent example of how Swan can provide attractive retro designs at affordable cost. The SR11010 looks fantastic and comes in a wide range of colors, from the subtle pastel blue we tested to more dramatic red and orange. It comes with the added benefit of being frost-free and quiet as well. It's a solid all-rounder but you need to look at other refrigerator freezers in our Best Buy table to make sure you buy the right appliance for your home.
